The Sharp Brush Fire has been contained. The Ventura County Fire Department will be mopping hot spots and monitoring the area throughout the night. All roads are now open and residents who were asked to evacuate may now return to their residences. The Simi Valley Police Department wants to thank the community for their patience and cooperation during this incident. 

There is currently a slow moving brush fire burning in the Ventura County area just north of Ditch Road. Evacuations have been completed for the residences affected and an evacuation center has been established at Rancho Santa Susana Community Park. Please be advised that traffic may be impacted in this area, while crews work to contain the fire. The Ventura County Sheriff's Department and Ventura County Fire Department are handling this incident with assistance from Simi Valley Police Department.
