INCIDENT: P.C. 273.5- Felony Spousal Abuse, P.C. 236- False Imprisonment, P.C. 3056- Violation of Parole
LOCATION: 16800 Block of Crestview Drive, Victorville
SUSPECT(S): Richard Irwin, 51-year-old Transient of Victorville
SUMMARY: On Tuesday, July 2, 2024, at approximately 8:24 a.m., deputies from the Victorville Police Station initiated a traffic stop at the intersection of Seneca Road and La Paz Drive on a 2017 Ford pick-up in relation to an ongoing investigation.
The suspect, Richard Irwin, failed to yield and sped off from deputies, leading them on a high-speed pursuit. Irwin made a sudden turn at the intersection of Hesperia Road and Crestview Drive, lost control of the vehicle and collided with a business fence located at 14229 Crestview Drive. Irwin’s vehicle flipped and deputies safely removed him from the vehicle. Irwin is on parole and had removed his ankle monitor.
Richard Irwin was arrested and booked at High Desert Detention Center in Adelanto, for P.C. 273.5- Felony Spousal Abuse, P.C. 236- False Imprisonment, P.C. 3056- Violation of Parole.
