Flood Warning until 12:30PM Friday

...The Flood Warning is extended for the following rivers in Minnesota and Wisconsin... Minnesota River at Henderson MN19 affecting Scott, Le Sueur and Sibley Counties. Minnesota River at Morton affecting Redwood and Renville Counties. Mississippi River at Red Wing L/D 3 affecting Pierce and Goodhue Counties. Mississippi River at Red Wing affecting Pierce, Goodhue and Pepin Counties. Mississippi River at St. Paul affecting Washington, Ramsey and Dakota Counties. Mississippi River near Hastings L/D 2 (COE) affecting Washington, Pierce and Dakota Counties. Redwood River near Redwood Falls affecting Redwood County. .While rivers are continuing to recede, rainfall expected through the weekend will slow down some of these recessions and depending on where the rain falls, could lead to another round of smaller rises on the rivers, helping to prolong the flooding longer than currently forecast.

* IMPACTS...At 683.0 feet, Lock and Dam 3 may end operations.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS... - At 715 PM CDT Thursday, the stage was 681.3 feet. - Recent Activity...The maximum river stage in the 24 hours ending at 715 PM CDT Thursday was 681.7 feet. - Forecast...The river is expected to fall below flood stage late Saturday morning and continue falling to 678.0 feet Thursday, July 11. - Flood stage is 680.5 feet.

Motorists should not attempt to drive around barricades or drive cars through flooded areas. Turn around, don't drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood deaths occur in vehicles.
