...RED FLAG WARNING IS IN EFFECT FOR THE KERN COUNTY MOUNTAINS AND MOJAVE DESERT SLOPES THROUGH 6 AM PDT SUNDAY MORNING FOR HIGH TEMPERATURES, GUSTY WINDS, DRY FUELS, AND VERY LOW RELATIVE HUMIDITY VALUES... .Elevated fire weather conditions will continue in the Kern County Mountains and Mojave Desert Slopes through Sunday morning. Very high temperatures, gusty northwesterly winds and very low relative humidity values are forecast. The strongest winds will occur tonight and Saturday night. The National Weather Service in Hanford has issued a Red Flag Warning, which is in effect until 6 AM PDT Monday.
* AFFECTED AREA...Fire weather zone 597.
* WIND...Gusts to 40 mph.
* HUMIDITY...10% or lower.
* IMPACTS...any use of incendiary devices will greatly increase the risk of quick starting, fast spreading grass fires. Outdoor burning is not recommended.
