Everyone near Tabernacle, Shamong,Woodland Twp and should be aware of an on going forest fire In Warton State Forest. 
Tabernacle OEM is alerting residents to a dangerous situation. A wild fire is located south of CR 532, approximately four (4) miles west of CR 563. The fire is currently 1,200 acres in size with 40% containment at 8:00 pm. This remotely burning fire was initially reported at 9:09 am and confirmed by Apple Pie Fire Tower burning near Harris Station Road and CR 532. Initial arriving resources indicated the wildfire was well-established and had likely burned overnight. Backfire and burnout operations are ongoing along improved and unimproved roads and trails to control forward progress of the wildfire. Heat related concerns are being mitigated by ground and air suppression personnel.
WILDFIRE UPDATE: The New Jersey Forest Fire Service confirms there are no residential evacuations underway in the area of Apple Jack Road, Chatsworth,in relation to the Tea Time Hill Wildfire in Wharton State Forest.
