Excessive Heat Warning & Cool Center Information
The National Weather Service has issued an Excessive Heat Warning for Riverside County. Residents without access to air-conditioning are urged to visit a local cool center. Coordinated by the Community Action Partnership of Riverside County, more than 70 cool centers are located in local libraries, as well as senior and community centers. Light refreshments and water will be available at some locations.
Local Cool Center
The Rose M. Eldridge Senior Center, located at 2690 Clark Avenue in Norco, is activated as a Cool Center during periods of excessive heat when temperatures reach 97° F or higher. When activated, hours of operation are as follows: Monday-Friday from 8 a.m.-6 p.m., Saturday-Sunday from 12-5 p.m. Temperatures will be monitored and hours may be adjusted as needed.
