Last night, SHERIFF LEVON ALLEN'S Elite BlackHawk Traffic Unit was on patrol, watching over the night.

As the BlackHawk Unit patrolled Interstate I-75 at the Clayton County line, they observed a Hyundai Kona recklessly driving at a high rate of speed.

The BlackHawk Unit attempted to make a traffic stop on the Hyundai, but the driver failed to yield, recklessly disregarding all life and property, then sped away, initiating the pursuit.

The pursuit continued northbound on I-75 and transitioned onto Interstate I-20 eastbound. The driver exited onto Flat Shoals Rd SE and crashed into the guard rail.

After the crash that deployed the airbags, the suspect fled on foot.

The suspect's foot speed was no match for the BlackHawk, who quickly “hawked” him down and deployed their Taser to safely secure him in handcuffs.

After being placed in the back of the patrol car, the suspect turned and kicked out the back window of the patrol car.

After running the suspect's name through GCIC/NCIC, he returned with several warrants and is #7 on SHERIFF LEVON ALLEN'S most wanted “HOT” list. He was also in possession of approximately 100 OxyCODONE pills, 1/2 pound of marijuana, and a firearm.

- Interference with Government Property x2
- Fleeing
- Stalking
- Aggravated Assault
- Home Invasion
- Burglary x2
