* WHAT...Flooding caused by excessive rainfall is expected.
* WHERE...A portion of western North Carolina, including the following county, McDowell.
* WHEN...Until 600 PM EDT.
* IMPACTS...Minor flooding in low-lying and poor drainage areas. Dangerous flows over low-water crossings. Water over roadways.
* ADDITIONAL DETAILS... - At 253 PM EDT, Doppler radar and automated rain gauges indicated heavy rain due to thunderstorms. Minor flooding is ongoing or expected to begin shortly in the advisory area. Between 1 and 4 inches of rain have fallen. - Additional rainfall amounts of up to 2 inches are expected over the area. This additional rain will result in minor flooding. - Some locations that will experience flooding include... Old Fort, Sugar Hill, Glenwood and Fero. - http://www.weather.gov/safety/flood

Your message should describe the specific location where impacts occurred and the depth of flooding observed. Turn around, don't drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood deaths occur in vehicles.
