1. Weapon Arrest (1610) 8000 Block of West Lane, Valley Oak District
Officers conducted a traffic enforcement stop in the area. The driver was on probation and had a warrant. A search of the vehicle found a loaded firearm and narcotics for sale. ARRESTED: James Cook, 25, for a warrant, narcotics, and weapons charges.
2. Shooting into Dwelling (1740) 1800 Block of Gordon Verner Circle, Seaport District
Officers responded to the area on reports of shots fired. They located several residences and two vehicles struck by gunfire. There were no injuries reported.
3. Homicide (2040) North Commerce Street and West Vine Street, Civic District
Officers responded to a person shot in the area and located the male victim, 37, in the area. The victim was transported to an area hospital and succumbed to his injuries. Detectives responded to the investigation.
