NWS HAS ISSUED A FLOOD WARNING THAT INCLUDES THE GREATER ATASCOCITA AREA UNTIL 4:30 PM THIS AFTERNOON
FLOOD WARNING IN EFFECT UNTIL 430 PM CDT THIS AFTERNOON...
* WHAT...Flooding caused by excessive rainfall is expected.
* WHERE...A portion of southeast Texas, including the following
counties, Brazoria, Chambers, Fort Bend, Galveston, Harris,
Liberty, Montgomery and Waller.
* WHEN...Until 430 PM CDT.
* IMPACTS...Flooding of rivers, creeks, streams, and other low-lying
and flood-prone locations is imminent or occurring. Numerous roads
remain closed due to flooding.
* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
- At 129 PM CDT, Doppler radar indicated heavy rain due to
thunderstorms. Flooding is already occurring in the warned
area. Between 4 and 9 inches of rain have fallen.
- Some locations that will experience flooding include...
Pasadena, Pearland, League City, Sugar Land, Baytown,
Missouri City, Galveston Causeway, Texas City, Friendswood,
La Porte, Deer Park, Alvin, Dickinson, Stafford, South
Houston, Bellaire, Humble, West University Place, La Marque
and Katy.

Instructions:
Turn around, don't drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood
deaths occur in vehicles.
