* WHAT...Flooding caused by excessive rainfall is possible.

* WHERE...Portions of Illinois, including the following areas, Central Cook, Eastern Will, Ford, Grundy, Iroquois, Kankakee, Livingston, Northern Cook, Northern Will, Southern Cook and Southern Will and northwest Indiana, including the following areas, Benton, Jasper, Lake IN, Newton and Porter.

* WHEN...From this afternoon through Wednesday afternoon.

* IMPACTS...Creeks and streams may rise out of their banks. Flooding may occur in poor drainage and urban areas.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS... - The remnants of Hurricane Beryl are expected to move northeastward into the region through Wednesday. Tropical moisture associated with the center of the remnants of Beryl is expected to contribute to bands of heavy rainfall from late this afternoon through early Wednesday morning. Rainfall rates may be high enough to cause flooding particularly in poor drainage areas including roadways, ditches, and fields.
