Man Found to be Under the Influence of Narcotics after Assaulting Wife, Firing Gun and Barricading Himself in Home

LOCATION: 11400 Block of Golden Street, Adelanto
SUSPECT: Fabian Guerrero, 35 years of age, resident of Adelanto
SUMMARY: On Sunday, July 7, 2024, at 6:21 p.m., deputies from the Victor Valley Sheriff’s Station responded to a 911 call in the 11400 block of Golden Street in Adelanto. The suspect, Fabian Guerrero, assaulted his wife and as she left the residence with their child, he retrieved a handgun and shot one round into the garage floor.
Guerrero barricaded himself inside the residence. The San Bernardino County Sheriff’s Department's Specialized Enforcement Division (SED) responded to assist. After several hours of negotiations, Guerrero surrendered and was arrested without further incident.
A search warrant was authored for the residence and the handgun, along with eleven additional firearms, were located. One of the firearms was confirmed stolen out of Morgan Hill California.
Fabian Guerrero, who was found to be under the influence of narcotics, was booked at High Desert Detention Center for felony spousal abuse, under the influence of a controlled substance while armed, and shooting at an inhabited dwelling. He is currently being held in lieu of $250,000.00 bail.
