Wilmington Police have arrested two men on drug charges.
Beginning in July, members of the Drug, Organized Crime, and Vice Division have been conducting an investigation into illegal drug sales in the 100 block of North Franklin Street. On July 5, at approximately 9:16 a.m., police executed a search warrant in that block and took 41-year-old Taha Hassan, and 33-year-old Antonio Wright into custody without incident. Wright was found to be in possession of .343 grams of heroin. Additionally, police recovered 449 grams of THC products, and $1,242.
Hassan has been charged with the following offense:
- Possession of a Controlled Substance with the Intent to Deliver
He was arraigned in the New Castle County Court of Common Pleas and was released after posting $10,000 secured bail.
Wright has been charged with the following offense:
- Possession of a Controlled Substance with the Intent to Deliver
He was arraigned in the New Castle County Court of Common Pleas and was committed to the Howard R. Young Correctional Institution on $10,000 cash-only bail.
