Flood Advisory until 09:00PM Tuesday

* WHAT...Flooding caused by excessive rainfall is expected.

* WHERE...Portions of central, east central, south central, and southwest Missouri, including the following counties, in central Missouri, Maries, Miller and Pulaski. In east central Missouri, Phelps. In south central Missouri, Dent and Texas. In southwest Missouri, Laclede.

* WHEN...Until 900 PM CDT Tuesday.

* IMPACTS...Minor flooding in low-lying and poor drainage areas.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS... - At 1254 PM CDT, Doppler radar indicated heavy rainfall due to the remnants of Tropical Cyclone Beryl. Minor flooding is ongoing or expected to begin shortly in the advisory area. Between 2 and 4 inches of rain have fallen with localized amounts exceeding 5 inches over eastern Phelps County. - This includes the following low water crossings... North Cobb Creek at Highway B, Maries River at County Road 621, Montague Creek at County Road 510, Smoky Hollow at Highway J, Little Piney Creek at Highway H, Norman Creek at County Road 4220 and Jones Creek at Highway O. - Some locations that will experience flooding include... Rolla, Fort Leonard Wood, Waynesville, St. Robert, St. James, Richland, Dixon, Crocker, Doolittle, Vienna, Newburg, Edgar Springs, Twin Bridges, Devil's Elbow, Jerome, Beulah, Northwye, Laquey, Swedeborg, Ozark Springs, Vichy, Falcon, Dry Knob and Rosati. - http://www.weather.gov/safety/flood
