Newark Public Safety Director Fritz G. Fragé requests the public’s help in locating the below-pictured vehicle that was used by several suspects who robbed a victim of $1,600 on July 6, 2024.
The incident occurred at approximately 2 a.m. in the 40 block of Napoleon Street. When police officers responded, they found a victim suffering from lacerations to his face after he was assaulted and robbed by two or three Black male suspects. Two of the men exited the vehicle pictured below, possibly a Kia, and approached the victim from behind, striking him in the face with a handgun. During the attack, the victim fell to the ground where the suspects took his wallet containing $1,600, identification, and debit cards. They got back into the white-colored, four-door vehicle and drove away.
The suspects wore dark clothing and the vehicle had tints on the window, and a fog light on the driver’s side.
