Flood Advisory until 09:45PM Tuesday

* WHAT...Flooding caused by excessive rainfall is expected.

* WHERE...Portions of south central and southwest Michigan, including the following counties, in south central Michigan, Calhoun, Eaton, Ingham and Jackson. In southwest Michigan, Kalamazoo and Van Buren.

* WHEN...Until 945 PM EDT Tuesday.

* IMPACTS...Minor flooding in low-lying and poor drainage areas. Water over roadways.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS... - At 335 PM EDT, Radar and automated rain gauges indicated slow-moving thunderstorms producing heavy rain between Kalamazoo and Jackson, and expanding toward the Lansing area. These storms are producing torrential downpours - with some rain totals above 1.5" occurring in less than one hour. Minor flooding is ongoing or expected to begin shortly in the advisory area. - The main upcoming rain storm associated with former tropical system Beryl will not arrive until later tonight, and a break in the heavy rain is expected this evening before the steady rain moves back in again after midnight. - http://www.weather.gov/safety/flood
