Newark Public Safety Director Fritz G. Fragé requests the public’s help in locating Mark Howard, 28, and Nicole Perez, 22, both of Newark and both wanted for questioning about a shooting that occurred on July 7, 2024.
Police officers responded to the 10:43 a.m. shooting and found a male victim on the ground with a gunshot wound to his leg at Fourth Avenue and N. 13th Street. The victim, treated at University Hospital, was shot in the 200 block of N. 13th Street and collapsed on the street. After the shooting, Howard and Perez, who live on the same block, left the scene and walked past the victim as he lay on the ground.
Howard, a Black male, is described as 5’10” and 180 pounds with black hair, brown eyes, and a dark complexion. Perez, a Hispanic female, is described as 5’1” and 110 pounds with brown hair and eyes, and a light complexion.
