Puget Sound Energy (PSE) will be moving a large piece of equipment TOMORROW, July 10, between the hours of 9:00-11:30 a.m. (approximate) southbound from Foss Corner Substation (Stottlemeyer Rd NE to NE Lincoln Rd, Poulsbo), across Agate Pass Bridge, down SR 305, to the Port Madison Substation (NE Day Rd W near 305). Travelers should expect traffic delays.

Additional Information From PSE:
There will be a convoy of several pilot cars and oversized vehicles hauling the equipment. The width of the equipment requires two travel lanes. Pilot cars will be blocking off traffic across the Agate Pass Bridge and other places along the route.

Traffic is allowed to follow behind the convoy. When the convoy gets to places along the route that are wide enough, the pilot cars will guide any backed-up traffic to flow around the convoy.

Once crews arrive at Port Madison Substation, they will unload the equipment. This will require closures (5 – 20 minutes) of the entrance to the business park near the substation.

While crews are replacing the control house at the substation, they will keep equipment vehicles parked in the unused space at the park and ride near State Highway 305 and NE Day Road W. They expect to be working at Port Madison Substation until around 1 p.m.

Once they’ve completed work, crews will move a crane from Port Madison Substation during off-peak hours in the evening. Pilot cars will surround the crane and block off and guide traffic, as needed.
