Cass County Sheriff Richard J. Behnke reports office responded to a personal injury traffic crash at the intersection of Decatur and Marcellus Highway in Volinia Township.  The crash occurred at 6:07 P.m. on July 9th.  The deputies'  investigation shows Jocylyn Ann Vanfleeren ( 43yrs South Bend) was northbound Decatur Road and failed to stop at the stop sigh at Marcellus Highway and was struck by a westbound vehicle driven by Charles Jason Beard (57 yrs. Three Rivers). Beard went by ambulance to Borgess Lee Hospital for treatment of non-life-threatening injuries.  The drivers of the vehicles were wearing their  seatbelts and alcohol does not appear to been a factor in this crash.

The incident remains under investigation.
