Flood Advisory in effect for Elkhart IN-Kosciusko IN-Lagrange IN-Marshall IN-St. Joseph IN- 808 thru UNTIL 2 PM EDT THIS AFTERNOON..

WHAT...Urban and small stream flooding caused by excessive 
  rainfall continues.
* WHERE...Portions of north central and northern Indiana, including 
  the following counties, in north central Indiana, Kosciusko and 
  St. Joseph. In northern Indiana, Elkhart, Lagrange and Marshall.
* WHEN...Until 200 PM EDT.
* IMPACTS...Minor flooding in low-lying and poor drainage areas. 
  Water over roadways.
* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
  - At 808 AM EDT, the public reported heavy rain in the advisory
    area. This is causing urban and small stream flooding.
    Between 2 and 5 inches of rain have fallen.
  - Additional rainfall amounts of 0.5 to 1.5 inches are expected
    over the area. This additional rain will result in minor
    flooding.
  - Some locations that will experience flooding include...
    South Bend, Elkhart, Mishawaka, Goshen, Plymouth, Nappanee,
    Bremen, Georgetown, Syracuse, Lagrange, Dunlap, Simonton
    Lake, Granger, Gulivoire Park, Middlebury, Osceola, Wakarusa,
    Bristol, Milford and Topeka.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...
Turn around, don't drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood 
deaths occur in vehicles.
Be especially cautious at night when it is harder to recognize the 
dangers of flooding.
