Wilmington Police have arrested a man for the theft of an off-highway vehicle.
On July 5, at approximately 2:07 p.m., members of the Uniformed Services Division were in the 200 block of South Broom Street, when they observed a male subject operating an off-highway vehicle. Police attempted to make contact with the subject, who fled on foot. Following a brief foot pursuit, 31-year-old Emanuel Negron was taken into custody without incident. A short time later, police were advised that the off-highway vehicle had recently been stolen from that area.
Negron has been charged with the following offenses in addition to off-highway vehicle violations:
- Theft of a Motor Vehicle
- Resisting Arrest
He was arraigned in the New Castle County Court of Common Pleas and was released on $1,100 unsecured bail.
