INCIDENT: PC 459- Burglary, PC 496(A) - Possession of Stolen Property, PC 182(A)(1) - Conspiracy and PC3455 - Violation of Post Release Community Supervision, Warrant for CVC 14601.1(A) - Driving on a Suspended License and PC 484 - Petty Theft
LOCATION: 1400 Block of J Street, Needles, CA
SUSPECT(S): Edward Johnson, 43 Years Old, Resident of Needles, CA
David Tomechko, 35 Years Old, Resident of Needles, CA
VICTIM(S): Confidential
SUMMARY: On Monday, July 8, 2024, at approximately 6:29 a.m., deputies from the Colorado River Station/Needles Police Department responded to the 1400 block of J Street reference a burglary report. Through investigation, deputies identified Edward Johnson and David Tomechko as suspects in the burglary.
Later that afternoon deputies wrote a search warrant for a property located near the 1600 block of Collins Street. Subsequently, deputies located some of the victim's property, totaling approximately $7,300.00, at the residence during the search.
Edward Johnson and David Tomechko were arrested and transported to the Colorado River Station jail for booking. Johnson and Tomechko remain in the custody of the San Bernardino County Sheriff's Department, awaiting a court hearing.
