Full Notification

On July 10, 2024, at 6:40 p.m. Gibson County Central Dispatch received a 911 report of a disturbance in the 9800 block of West 650 South near Johnson.  Upon arriving on scene Deputy Michael Owens and Sgt. Loren Barchett conducted an investigation into the incident speaking with all the parties that were involved in the incident.  At the end of their investigation Deputy Owens placed 51 year old Matthew Thorbeck of Evansville into custody and transported him to the Gibson County Jail where he was charged with Battery.  
 
All criminal defendants are to be presumed innocent until, and unless proven guilty beyond a reasonable doubt in a court of law.
