This evening, at the Cass County Commissioners Meeting, Sheriff Richard J. Behnke awarded two Cass County deputies with Commendations and Medals of Valor. Deputy Thomas Wilson and Deputy Samuel Harris were recognized by the Board of Commissioners for their bravery. Attached is a copy of their Commendation letters. As the letter states “ Your bravery is a credit to yourself and the Cass County Sheriff’s Office. You put the safety of the public before your personal safety and put yourself into harms way to help a stranger. Your calmness and professionalism have not gone unnoticed. Please accept this letter of commendation and Medal of Valor as a token of our appreciation.”

The Sheriff would like to thank Deputy Wilson and Deputy Harris for their service to the citizens of Cass County.
