* WHAT...Flooding caused by excessive rainfall is expected.

* WHERE...Portions of southeast Kansas, including the following counties, Bourbon, Cherokee and Crawford and Missouri, including the following counties, Barton, Jasper, Newton and Vernon.

* WHEN...Until 900 AM CDT Friday.

* IMPACTS...Minor flooding in low-lying and poor drainage areas.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS... - At 221 AM CDT, Doppler radar indicated heavy rain due to thunderstorms. Minor flooding is ongoing or expected to begin shortly in the advisory area. Between 1 and 2 inches of rain have fallen. - Some locations that will experience flooding include... Pittsburg, Fort Scott, Baxter Springs, Columbus, Girard, Frontenac, Galena, Arma, Cherokee, Weir, Mulberry, Scammon, Mccune, Bronson, Arcadia, Uniontown, Walnut, West Mineral, Fulton, Redfield, Treece, Hepler, Marmaton, Lowell, Sherman, Chicopee, Franklin, Mapleton, Roseland, Beulah, Ringo, Farlington, Polk, Brazilton, Lone Oak, Englevale, Greenbush, Croweburg, Pawnee Station and Yale. - http://www.weather.gov/safety/flood
