Wilmington Police arrest man in connection to shots fired incident:
Wilmington Police have arrested a man in connection to a shots fired incident.
On June 30, at approximately 5:12 p.m., members of the Uniformed Services Division responded to the 300 block of North Church Street, in reference to a shots fired incident with no injuries. The case was assigned to Detective Justin Wilkers of the Criminal Investigations Division.
Through the course of his investigation, Detective Wilkers identified 40-year-old Quinton White as a suspect, and obtained warrants for his arrest. On July 9, at approximately 12:37 p.m., members of the Uniformed Services Division were in the 500 block of West 10th Street, when they observed White, who attempted to flee from officers. White was taken into custody without incident, and found to be in possession of a loaded 9mm handgun, and 46 grams of crack cocaine.
White has been charged with the following offenses:
- Possession of a Firearm During the Commission of a Felony – Two Counts
- Possession of a Firearm or Ammunition by a Person Prohibited – Three Counts
- Reckless Endangering (First Degree) – Two Counts
- Carrying a Concealed Deadly Weapon
- Possession of a Controlled Substance with the Intent to Deliver
- Possession of a Controlled Substance in Tier 3 Quantity
- Possession of a Controlled Substance
- Endangering the Welfare of a Child
- Resisting Arrest
- Criminal Mischief Under $1,000
