Flood Warning until 10:15PM Friday

* WHAT...Flooding caused by excessive rainfall is expected.

* WHERE...Portions of southeast Kansas, including the following counties, Cherokee and Crawford and southwest Missouri, including the following counties, Jasper and Newton.

* WHEN...Until 1015 PM CDT Friday.

* IMPACTS...Flooding of rivers, creeks, streams, and other low-lying and flood-prone locations is imminent or occurring.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS... - At 1002 AM CDT, Doppler radar and automated rain gauges indicated heavy rain due to thunderstorms. Flooding is ongoing or expected to begin shortly in the warned area. Between 2 and 7 inches of rain have fallen. - Some locations that will experience flooding include... Joplin, Baxter Springs, Columbus, Webb City, Carl Junction, Galena, Oronogo, Carterville, Duquesne, Duenweg, Cherokee, Weir, Leawood, Silver Creek, Scammon, Shoal Creek Drive, Saginaw, West Mineral, Loma Linda, Airport Drive, Lowell, Chicopee, Asbury, Redings Mill, Grand Falls Plaza, Shoal Creek Estates, Waco, Roseland, Dennis Acres, Cliff Village, Crestline, Lawton, Stippville, Skidmore, Neutral, Riverton, Carona, Iron Gates, Sherwin and Beulah. - http://www.weather.gov/safety/flood
