Suspect Arrested on Numerous Weapons Charges when Deputies Serve Search Warrant at a home in San Bernardino

INCIDENT: PC 487(D)(2) Theft of a Firearm
PC 29800(A)(1) Felon in Possession of a Firearm
PC 25850(A) Possession of a Stolen Firearm
PC 30305(A)(1) Felon in Possession of Ammunition
PC  31360(A) Felon in Possession of Body Armor 

LOCATION: 3100 block of N. Genevieve Street, San Bernardino  

SUSPECT(S): Charles Vogleman, age 54, resident of San Bernardino   

VICTIM(S): Confidential/ State of California  


SUMMARY: 
On Tuesday, July 9, 2024, deputies from the Twin Peaks Station responded to a residence in Lake Arrowhead in reference to a firearm being stolen. The investigation revealed Charles Vogleman stole the firearm. Vogleman is a convicted felon who is prohibited from owning/possessing firearms. 

Investigators from the Twin Peaks Station conducted an extensive investigation and determined Vogleman resided at a residence on the 3100 block of N. Genevieve Street in San Bernardino. 

On Thursday, July 11, 2024, investigators authored and served a search warrant at Vogleman’s residence. During the service of the search warrant, the stolen firearm, ammunition, and two bulletproof vests were located. 

Vogleman was arrested for PC 487(D)(2) Theft of a Firearm, PC 29800(A)(1) Felon in Possession of a Firearm, PC 25850(A) Possession of a Stolen Firearm, PC 30305(A)(1) Felon in Possession of Ammunition, PC  31360(A) Felon in Possession of Body Armor. Vogleman was booked at the Central Detention Center.
