Hawaiʻi Island police are requesting the public’s assistance in locating 74-year-old William Hammett of Volcano. He was last seen walking in the Fern Forest Subdivision in Volcano at the end of May 2024; however, he was not reported missing until recently.
Hammett is considered an endangered missing person due to his age.
Hammett has a light complexion, 5-feet 9-inches tall, about 175 lbs., with medium-length white hair, a white beard, and blue eyes.
