Advisory

Flood Watch until 08:00AM Tuesday

* WHAT...Flooding caused by excessive rainfall is possible.

* WHERE...A portion of southeast Michigan, including the following counties, Livingston, Macomb, Oakland, Washtenaw and Wayne.

* WHEN...From midnight EDT tonight through Tuesday morning.

* IMPACTS...Excessive runoff may result in flooding of rivers, creeks, streams, and other low-lying and flood-prone locations. Flooding may occur in poor drainage and urban areas.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS... - A line of strong thunderstorms is expected to cross southeast Michigan tonight. Rainfall rates in excess of 1 inch per hour will be possible with these storms. While the line is expected to stay progressive limiting residence time over any one location, the higher rainfall rates from this humid airmass in combination with the recent wet pattern, including the 1 to 4 inches that fell near M-59 this morning, will support the potential for areas of flooding particularly in urban areas. - http://www.weather.gov/safety/flood

* AFFECTED AREAS: LIVINGSTON ... OAKLAND ... MACOMB ... WASHTENAW ... WAYNE

Instructions:

You should monitor later forecasts and be alert for possible Flood Warnings. Those living in areas prone to flooding should be prepared to take action should flooding develop.
