LOCATION: 4200 Chino Hills Parkway, Chino Hills
SUSPECT(S): Mathew Gilmore, a 30-year-old resident of Chino
VICTIM(S): ASN Depot, Inc.
SUMMARY: On Tuesday, July 9, 2024, at approximately 2:50 p.m., Chino Hills deputies responded to a grand theft from a business at 4200 Chino Hills Parkway. The male adult suspect entered the business, stole a laptop, and ran from employees. The suspect escaped, and deputies were called to investigate.
Through investigation, deputies identified the suspect as Mathew Gilmore, a 30-year-old resident of Chino. At approximately 11:50 p.m., deputies found Gilmore walking near Bird Farm Road and Monterey Avenue in Chino Hills. Gilmore was arrested for commercial burglary and grand theft and booked at West Valley Detention Center.
On Wednesday, July 10, 2024, Chino Hills investigators developed information about the stolen laptop's location. Investigators served a search warrant on a vehicle and recovered the stolen property.
