The suspect was located and taken into custody.
The area was deemed safe and all neighborhood evacuees were allowed to return to their homes.

INCIDENT: Barricaded Suspect

LOCATION: 2200 Block of S. Atlantic Boulevard, Commerce
SUSPECT: Male Adult
UNIT: Special Enforcement Bureau- Lieutenant David Auner
NARRATIVE:
Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department Special Enforcement Bureau (SEB) personnel are responding to assist East Los Angeles Station with a barricaded suspect. The incident was reported Monday, July 15, 2024 at approximately 3:18 p.m. on the 2200 Block of S. Atlantic Boulevard, Commerce.
SEB personnel will assume tactical command and Crisis Negotiation Team (CNT) will attempt to make contact with the suspect to bring this to a peaceful resolution.
