Flood Advisory until 07:00PM Tuesday 
* WHAT...Flooding caused by excessive rainfall is expected.
* WHERE...Portions of southern Illinois, including the following county, Jackson and southeast Missouri, including the following county, Perry.
* WHEN...Until 700 PM CDT Tuesday.
* IMPACTS...Minor flooding in low-lying and poor drainage areas. Water over roadways.
* ADDITIONAL DETAILS... - At 1234 PM CDT, Doppler radar and automated rain gauges indicated heavy rain due to thunderstorms. Minor flooding is ongoing or expected to begin shortly in the advisory area. Between 0.5 and 2.5 inches of rain have fallen. - Additional rainfall amounts of 1 to 2 inches are expected over the area. This additional rain will result in minor flooding. - Some locations that will experience flooding include... Carbondale, Perryville, Murphysboro, De Soto, Hurst, Grand Tower, Altenburg, Cedar Lake Area, Makanda, Frohna, Gorham, Longtown, Old Appleton, Lithium and Silver Lake.
* AFFECTED AREAS: JACKSON, IL ... PERRY, MO
Instructions:
Turn around, don't drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood deaths occur in vehicles. Be aware of your surroundings and do not drive on flooded roads.
