June 30th
Theft from Vehicle – 3300 block of Belmont Ave.
An officer reports a suspect entered the victim’s unlocked vehicle and stole items sometime between 9:00 PM on 6/29/2024 - 6:00 AM on 6/30/2024.
Public Intoxication – 1000 El Cerrito Plaza (Lucky):
At 11:54 AM, an officer responded to a call of person down on the floor inside the store. too intoxicated to care for themselves. The suspect was transported to the hospital and the case forwarded to the District Attorney for review.
July 1st
Vandalism – 8600 Block of Don Carol Dr.
At 2:15 PM, an officer reported the victim had their window partially shattered.
Robbery – 670 El Cerrito Plaza (CVS):
At 9:04 PM, an officer reports an employee was threatened by two subjects while they stole merchandise. The suspects fled prior to police arrival.
July 2nd
Tampering with a Vehicle – 1400 block of Liberty St.
At 4:16 PM, the victim reported that the door handle to their vehicle was damaged. The incident occurred sometime between 06/26/2024 - 06/27/2024.
July 3rd
Stolen Vehicle and Failure to Comply with Police – Potrero Ave. / Eastshore Blvd.
At 7:41 AM, an officer conducted a traffic enforcement stop on a stolen vehicle. The driver fled from officers and was last seen traveling into the City of Richmond.
July 4th
Vandalism – 10650 San Pablo Ave.
At 9:18 AM, an officer saw a subject graffitiing a building wall. The subject was arrested and released with a citation.
Public Intoxication – 1000 El Cerrito Plaza (Lucky):
At 3:31 PM, an officer responded to a call of a person down on the floor inside of the store and too intoxicated to care for themselves. The subject was transported to the hospital and case forwarded to the District Attorney’s office for review.
Commercial Burglary and Stolen Vehicle – 10636 San Pablo Ave. (24 Hour Fitness):
At 6:57 PM, an officer reports the victim had their gym locker cut and property stolen. The suspect then stole the victim’s vehicle.
Shoplifting – 670 El Cerrito Plaza (CVS):
At 7:35 PM, an officer reports a subject stole merchandise and fled prior to police arrival.
July 5th
Vehicle Theft – 11760 San Pablo Ave.
A vehicle was stolen from the front lot of the shopping center sometime between 7:30 PM on 07/04/2024 - 8:30 AM on 07/05/2024.
Vandalism – 7239 Fairmount Ave. (Harding Elementary School):
A suspect shattered the glass door at the school between 3:50 PM on 07/03/2024 - 9:00 AM on 07/04/2024.
Vandalism – 900 Kearney St.
The victim reported a suspect broke the front door glass of the business between 3:00 PM on 07/04/2024 -12:30 PM on 07/05/2024, but there was no apparent entry.
Recovered Stolen Vehicle – 2000 block of Key Blvd:
At 2:29PM, an unoccupied stolen vehicle was recovered.
Warrant Arrest- San Pablo Ave. / Carlson Blvd:
At 9:03 PM, an officer conducted a pedestrian stop and arrested the subject for having an outstanding warrant. The subject was arrested, booked at the El Cerrito Police Department and transported to the Martinez Detention Facility.
Evading a Peace Officer- Potrero Ave. / I-80:
At 1:30 AM, an officer located a vehicle with a stolen license plate and attempted to conduct an enforcement stop. The vehicle failed to yield and led officers on a pursuit. The pursuit was terminated after entering the City of Oakland.
July 6th
Grand Theft – 4010 El Cerrito Plaza (AT&T Store):
At 10:07 AM, and suspect stole merchandise and fled on foot towards BART.
Warrant Arrest- Manila Ave/ BART path:
At 7:54 PM, an officer conducted a pedestrian stop and arrested the subject for an outstanding warrant. The subject was transported to the Martinez Detention Facility after booking.
Vandalism / Criminal Threats / Disobeying an Officer - Cutting Blvd. / Kearney St.
At 12:12 AM, an officer was on a traffic enforcement stop when a subject walked up to the officer and began yelling obscenities. The subject was ordered to leave the area but refused. Upon arrival of another officer, the subject used a skateboard to cause damage to a patrol vehicle. The subject was placed under arrest and transported to the Martinez Detention Facility.
