* Severe Thunderstorm Warning for... Northeastern Monmouth County in central New Jersey...

* Until 815 PM EDT.

* At 708 PM EDT, a severe thunderstorm was located over Keansburg, or near Huguenot, moving east at 30 mph. HAZARD...60 mph wind gusts and penny size hail. SOURCE...Radar indicated. IMPACT...Damage to roofs, siding, trees, and power lines is possible.

* Locations impacted include... Long Branch, Sandy Hook, Middletown, Tinton Falls, Holmdel, Red Bank, Matawan, Highlands, Navesink, Lincroft, Eatontown, West Long Branch, Keyport, Rumson, Little Silver, Oceanport, Shrewsbury, Strathmore, and North Middletown. This includes Garden State Parkway between mile markers 110 and 120.

* AFFECTED AREAS: MONMOUTH, NJ

For your protection move to an interior room on the lowest floor of a building. In addition to large hail and damaging winds, frequent cloud to ground lightning is occurring with this storm. Move indoors immediately. Remember, if you can hear thunder, you are close enough to be struck by lightning.
