INCIDENT: Felon in Possession of a Firearm
LOCATION: 6400 block of East Court Avenue, Twentynine Palms
SUSPECT(S): Dakota Blaise-Parra, 25 year old male resident of Twentynine Palms
VICTIM(S): State of California
SUMMARY: On Tuesday, July 16, 2024, deputies coordinated with the California State Parole Fugitive Task Force in a joint operation to locate wanted felons. California State Parole was looking for Dakota Blaise-Parra. Blaise-Parra is a convicted felon with multiple charges for firearm violations and other felony offenses. Blaise-Parra had a felony warrant for his arrest due to not complying with his parole terms.
Deputies from the Morongo Basin Sheriff's Station, along with the California State Parole Fugitive Task Force, contacted Blaise-Parra at his residence. Blaise-Parra was found to be in possession of an illegal assault rifle. Blaise-Parra also had multiple rounds of ammunition which were located in illegal extended assault rifle magazines, and is in violation of his parole terms. Blaise-Parra was arrested and booked at the Morongo Basin Jail for felon in possession of a firearm, illegal possession of ammunition, illegal possession of an assault weapon, and violation of parole.
