Newark Public Safety Director Fritz G. Fragé requests the public’s help in identifying the suspect pictured below, who stole a victim’s electric scooter on July 15, 2024.
 
The theft occurred at approximately 5:30 p.m. at the Walgreens Pharmacy in the 60 block of Ferry Street when the victim entered the store and left his scooter at the entrance. Moments later, the suspect was captured on surveillance video walking into the store and leaving with the scooter.
 
Director Fragé urges anyone with information about the suspect’s identity to call the Police Division’s 24-hour Crime Stopper tip line at 1-877-NWK-TIPS (1-877-695-8477). All anonymous Crime Stopper tips are confidential and could result in a reward.
