The South Brunswick Police Department invites everyone to our National Night Out 2024 celebration! The celebration will take place at beautiful Rowland Park located on Broadway Road on Tuesday August 6th from 6pm to 9pm.
Last year, the South Brunswick Police Department was awarded top honors as the best National Night Out celebration in the country. A committee from the National Association of Town Watch evaluates all the community engagement, participation, and community support that goes into each celebration in each community category. The committee found that the department’s effort to engage all aspects of our community, including all age groups and various cultures, made the event outstanding.
In order to top last year community members will enjoy over 2,500 hot dogs, 750 veggie dogs, 1,500 bottles of water, 1,000 ice pops and 2,000 bags of popcorn and chips. Attendees will enjoy music and dance, rides and bounce houses, engaging displays by the police department, FBI, fire departments and first aid squads, games and prizes, and a tug-of-war competition with the police department, fire departments, and first aid squads.
Something unique this year is free Basic Intro to CPR classes offered by the South Brunswick Health Department at National Night Out. Knowing the basics of CPR can help save lives. The more residents that know CPR can have a great impact upon their family, neighbors, and community by immediately starting CPR until first responders arrive. Each session will be 15 minutes in duration and will start at 6:15 pm, 7pm, and 7:15 pm. Class size is limited to 6 people, age 15 years and older. Registration is required.
