The Board of Education will hold a special meeting and public hearing on Tuesday, July 23, 2024, at 7:00 PM in the Sherman School Media Center or online via Zoom, a warning with Zoom information is available at www.townofshermanct.org under the Town Meetings section.
The purpose of this meeting and hearing is to discuss two potential project pathways for the future of Sherman School recently reviewed by the School Building Committee and Board of Selectmen on July 10, 2024. You can view a recording and all the materials for that meeting,  as well all materials related to the school building project at www.townofshermanct.org in the section labeled School Building Committee under Boards & Commissions.  

The Board of Education is seeking public input as they work to decide which potential project pathway will be recommended to the Board of Selectmen to possibly send to referendum. It is crucial for all members of the Sherman community to participate in the upcoming public hearing. Testimony or comments can be made in person, online, or in writing by emailing [email protected]. Testimony or comments received in writing prior to that start of the special meeting and hearing will be read into the record. Please include your name and address when submitting in writing. 

The Board of Selectmen will hold their regular monthly meeting on Thursday, July 25, 2024, at 7:00 PM in Mallory Town Hall. At this meeting they will discuss the Board of Education's preferred project pathway recommendation and potential financing options and terms. A warning with Zoom information is available at www.townofshermanct.org under the Town Meetings section.  Please note you can access this meeting via Zoom but at this time it is view only, to make a public comment you must attend in person at Mallory Town Hall.
