On 07/19/2024 at 1030 pm Simi Valley Police Officers responded to the Regal Plaza (2751 Tapo Cyn Rd.) for a report of a fight. The Simi Valley Police Department's Communications Center received mutiple calls advising a large group of juveniles were fighting in the parking lot.
Officers arrived at the location and located a male juvenile who had sustained a single stab wound. The juvenile was transported to a local Trauma Center and is expected to make a full recovery.
Detectives from the Simi Valley Police Department's Detective Unit and members from the Department's Special Enforcement Team (SET) responded and took over the investigation.
At the time of this report, the suspect in this case is still outstanding, however investigators advised there is not a threat to the public at this time.
