Fatal Motorcycle Crash 
Sheriff Richard J. Behnke, reports that on 07/20/2024 at approximately 1530 hours his office was called to investigate a personal injury crash near Dailey Rd. / Jefferson Center St., Jefferson Township, Cass County Michigan.
Investigation shows that 22-year-old, Granger IN resident, was traveling northbound on Dailey Rd, just north of Jefferson Center St., when he lost control of his motorcycle to the right, which caused him to hit multiple trees. The motorcycle came to rest down an embankment after hitting the trees. The driver of the motorcycle was pronounced deceased at the scene. The driver of the motorcycle was wearing his helmet.
Speed does appear to be a factor in this crash. At this time, it is unknown if Alcohol and drugs were a factor in this crash. This crash remains under investigation
