Special Weather Statement until 05:45PM

At 522 PM MDT, Doppler radar was tracking a strong thunderstorm 9 miles southeast of Tucumcari, moving south at 15 mph. Tucumcari recorded a 52 mph wind gust at 505 PM MDT. HAZARD...Wind gusts of 50 to 55 mph. SOURCE...Radar and Observation indicated. IMPACT...Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around unsecured objects. Locations impacted include... Tucumcari and Quay. This includes Interstate 40 between Mile Markers 330 and 345.

* AFFECTED AREAS: QUAY COUNTY
