Sheriff Richard J. Behnke, reports that on 07/21/2024 at approximately 2153 hours his Office was called for a man that had fallen out of a Kayak in Juno Lake, Mason Township, Cass County Michigan.   
   
 Investigation shows that a male was fishing in a Kayak, when he fell out of the Kayak and was unable to swim. The Cass County Marine Division/ Dive Team was called to the scene. The Cass County Marine Deputies and Dive Team, along with the Indian Lake Dive Team were able to locate and recover the male Kayaker. The male was pronounced deceased at the scene.    
  
A Lifejacket was not worn. Alcohol may have been a factor in this incident. This incident remains under investigation.
