Highland Park's annual Parkstock outdoor summer concert series - 7/25

Borough welcomes Billy for 2nd Parkstock 2024 concert,
Thursday July 25th, 6-8 pm, Donaldson Park

On Thursday July 25th the Borough of Highland Park is delighted to welcome the band Billy for the second concert in our Parkstock 2024 summer concert series.

Sprung from the roots of the punk bluegrass band, Seigobillies, the four person tandem musical group known as Billy has steadily evolved into one of New Jersey's most versatile and fan favorite musical acts. Billy has been referred to as equal parts Argybargy era Squeeze and early Elvis Costello, along with bits and pieces of Midnight Oil and Billy Bragg.

Their songs hold the essence of great rock & roll - melodic vocals, catchy hooks, and tight harmonies, with rhythmic and often introspectively poetic lyrics. Live shows are energetic and loads of fun. Billy songs span the spectrum from edgy rock and shoe stamping, punk powered bluegrass all the way to melodic, roots-inspired ballads.

This concert will be held on Thursday July 25th from 6:00 – 8:00 pm, in the gazebo in Grove 1 in Donaldson Park, with ample parking available nearby. Food vendors will be available on site for purchase.

The rain date for this show is Thursday August 8th.

Parkstock 2024 is a project of the Borough of Highland Park, NJ and is supported in part by the Middlesex County Board of County Commissioners and the New Jersey State Council on the Arts, a partner agency of the National Endowment for the Arts.
