Roadway and infrastructure improvements to the intersection of Bangs & Prospect Avenues are scheduled begin Tuesday, 7/23/24. Work consists of storm sewer and sanitary sewer upgrades and the addition of an upgraded traffic signal with pedestrian signaling, as well as new pavement and striping once work has been completed.

The intersection at Bangs and Prospect Avenues will be closed to through traffic for approximately two weeks to allow for removal of the existing sanitary sewer and storm drain infrastructure. Following this phase of the project, there may be lane closures but full closure of the intersection will not be required.
 
Work will take place Monday to Friday from 8am to 4pm and is subject to change due to weather conditions. Please observe no parking signs, construction signs and posted detours, and use caution when approaching the area.
 
All sewer, storm drain, sidewalk, curbing, pavement and traffic signal mounting/conduiting work is expected to be completed before the beginning of the school year as to not interrupt school operations.
