Deputy Alicia Lund charged 22-year-old Sarah Kirstin Greene of Marion with Trafficking in Heroin, PWIMSD a Schedule I Controlled Substance and Possession of a Schedule I Controlled Substance. Greene received no bond because she was out on bond for unrelated charges.
Deputy Lund also charged 47-year Janet Marie Taylor of Marion with Possession of Methamphetamine and Drug Paraphernalia. Taylor received a $5,000 secured bond.
On July 18th, Deputy Lund stopped a vehicle driven by Taylor for a traffic violation. A Marion Police Department K9 alerted on the car for the presence of narcotics. A search of Greene turned up suspected fentanyl and a search of Taylor turned methamphetamine. "Great job by our patrol folks being proactive and continuing to get this poison off our streets," states Sheriff Ricky Buchanan.
