...FIRE WEATHER WATCH REMAINS IN EFFECT FROM THURSDAY AFTERNOON THROUGH THURSDAY EVENING FOR HOT TEMPERATURES, GUSTY WINDS, AND LOW RELATIVE HUMIDITY FOR FIRE WEATHER ZONES 116 AND 118... The National Weather Service in Great Falls has issued a Fire Weather Watch for hot temperatures, gusty winds, and low relative humidity, which is in effect from Wednesday afternoon through Wednesday evening.
* AFFECTED AREA...Lincoln Ranger District of the Helena National Forest and Helena and Townsend Ranger Districts of the Helena National Forest.
* TIMING...Wednesday afternoon through Wednesday evening, and Thursday afternoon through Thursday evening.
* WINDS...Southwest 10 to 20 mph, with gusts up to 35 mph.
* RELATIVE HUMIDITY...As low as 12 percent.
* TEMPERATURES...95 to 105 degrees on Wednesday, and 90 to 100 degrees on Thursday.
* THUNDERSTORMS...Scattered afternoon thunderstorms, some of which on Wednesday may produce little rainfall. Some storms will produce strong wind gusts.
* IMPACTS...Any existing or new fires that develop will likely spread rapidly and be difficult to contain. Outdoor burning is not recommended.
* AFFECTED AREAS: LINCOLN RANGER DISTRICT OF THE HELENA NATIONAL FOREST ... HELENA AND TOWNSEND RANGER DISTRICTS OF THE HELENA NATIONAL FOREST
