Wilmington Police arrest two men on drug charges:
Wilmington Police have arrested two men on drug charges.
On July 19, at approximately 12:57 p.m., police were in the 100 block of North Franklin Street, when they observed two male subjects acting in a suspicious manner. Police attempted to make contact with 22-year-old Nhyjee Evans, who fled on foot. Following a brief foot pursuit, Evans was taken into custody without incident and found to be in possession of .91 grams of heroin, and $372. Subsequently, officers made contact with 22-year-old Sabeer Mumin, who was taken into custody without incident and found to be in possession of 56 Oxycodone pills, 29 Alprazolam pills, 1.036 grams of heroin, 307 grams of marijuana, and $7,614.
Evans has been charged with the following offenses:
- Possession of a Controlled Substance with the Intent to Deliver
- Resisting Arrest
Mumin has been charged with the following offenses:
- Possession of a Controlled Substance with the Intent to Deliver – Four Counts
