Water and Sewer Department Notice: Hydrant Flushing, Pocantico Water District, July 24, 2024 
The Water and Sewer Department will be flushing fire hydrants in the Pocantico Water District on Wednesday, July 24, 2024 between the hours of 9:00 a.m. and 1:00 p.m. This will include the entire area of the district. Please be advised that flushing may cause some discoloration of water. This does not represent a health hazard. However, residents are cautioned to determine if the water is clear before washing clothes (or any other processing) as staining may occur. If you experience discolored water run the cold water in all your faucets for approximately 5-10 minutes.
The Water Department regrets any temporary inconvenience you may experience however, system flushing is necessary to maintain a good water supply for both firefighting and domestic consumption.
