...The National Weather Service in Austin/San Antonio TX has issued a Flood Warning for the following rivers in Texas... West Nueces River At Brackettville affecting Uvalde and Kinney Counties. Nueces River At Laguna affecting Uvalde County. Nueces River Below Uvalde affecting Uvalde County.
* WHAT...Minor flooding is forecast.
* WHERE...West Nueces River at Brackettville.
* WHEN...Until tomorrow morning.
* IMPACTS...At 15.0 feet, Minor lowland flooding is over one hundred twenty yards wide at the gauge in one channel, and a second channel is fifteen yards wide. Secondary roads and crossings near the river are flooded and dangerous to motorists.
* ADDITIONAL DETAILS... - At 1:30 PM CDT Tuesday the stage was 0.7 feet. - Bankfull stage is 9.0 feet. - Forecast...The river is expected to rise above flood stage late this afternoon to a crest of 15.8 feet late this afternoon. It will then fall below flood stage this evening. - Flood stage is 15.0 feet. - Flood History...This crest compares to a previous crest of 16.4 feet on 09/16/1991. - http://www.weather.gov/safety/flood
